FEATURE PROJECT
RICHMOND STREET WEST
Principal designer Phoenix Grey's own home, shared with his partner Anthony DeLuca.
A downtown condo reimagined as a thesis in dark, tactile organic modernism — layered, atmospheric, and deeply personal.
The project began not with a look but with a feeling: an interior designed to envelop rather than impress, to reward the way it is lived in over time. Light and shadow are treated as material, movement is choreographed from room to room, and intimacy is engineered rather than assumed. Constraint became the catalyst: 750 square feet approached not as a limitation but as an argument for intimacy. It is a study in how a small space can hold real emotional weight — proof that restraint, met with conviction, is its own kind of boldness.
